Technitrail des Glaciers: A Challenge for Experienced Trail Runners through the Chapieux Valley

The Technitrail des Glaciers, a must of the Trail du Petit Saint Bernard, is designed for experienced trail runners with mountain experience. The route includes aerial and technical passages that are not suitable for everyone.
This course of 35 km and 2700 m D+ offers an intense adventure, with the possibility of discovering the technical trail "Thomas Roques" which dominates the valley of the glaciers. The first part is not technical but demanding, with a vertical kilometer to the Bonhomme refuge, then the Col des Fours at 2665 m.
After the descent to the Ville des Glaciers, the path goes up the Bellaval combe to join the Thomas Roques trail. The refueling is at Chalets de Bellaval. The first great difficulty, the Col de la Grande Écaille at 2707 m, offers an intense mineral experience. Then the technical descent and the climb to the Robert Blanc refuge follow.
The crossing to the Col de la Seigne under the Glacier is dotted with small challenges, torrents and equipped passages. The descent from the Col de la Seigne is fluid until the finish.

Practical information

Departure : September 30 at 8:30 am from the Chapieux valley.

Points of passage for classification : Ville des Glaciers (11 km - BH: 11h30), Intersection Col d'Enclave-Refuge (20 km - BH: 14h15), Les Chapieux (35 km - BH: 18h30).

Limited to 400 participants, open from 20 years.

Bib Removal : day before the race in Bourg Saint Maurice and the same day in Chapieux.

Medical certificate : mandatory dated less than one year, athletic licenses accepted. Send the certificate before September 26, 2023 to inscriptions@traildupetitsaintbernard.fr .
